The Saskatchewan Health Research Foundation (SHRF) funds and facilitates the work of health
researchers, strengthens health research and innovation, and maximizes the growth of this R&D
sector of the health industry.
Through our funding programs we support a range of human health research including basic biomedical science, clinical research, health services and system research, and research into cultural, social and environmental determinants of population health.
We seek out community, business and academic partners to fund and facilitate the work of health researchers and maximize the growth of this R&D sector of health industry.
SHRF has adopted the use of the Canadian Academy of Health Sciences Framework to measure the returns on investment in health research for Saskatchewan.
As lead agency for the provincial government's Health Research Strategy, SHRF works as a catalyst, supporting the work of individual researchers and research groups, as well as furthering numerous initiatives to enhance and increase capacity of our province's health research enterprise.
