SOLUTIONS HUB
Child and Youth Health in Saskatchewan
is faced with complex challenges.
Saskatchewan Health Research Foundation (SHRF) and Jim Pattison Children's Hospital Foundation (JPCHF) are pleased to officially launch the provincial Child and Youth Health Solutions Focus Area.
We're supporting researchers, community organizations, policy makers and those working directly with Saskatchewan's youth as they identify and implement meaningful solutions to pressing health challenges.

The Solutions Program

SHRF's Solutions Program is one of three main funding programs offered annually. The Solutions Program aims to mobilize the research ecosystem to focus and coordinate diverse skills and perspectives to address timely Saskatchewan health challenges.

This is achieved by providing peer reviewed, competitive funding to support direct research costs for interdisciplinary teams, including knowledge-users, conducting projects with measurable impact in defined 'focus areas'.

What are Solutions Focus Areas?

Solutions Focus Areas allow SHRF and our partners to strategically target areas of human health with collaborative, interdisciplinary and timely research.

Focus Areas evolve year-to-year, and are selected through a process that considers capacity, need, stakeholder alignment, partnership opportunities, potential for impact, and additional factors.

In partnership with Jim Pattison Children's Hospital Foundation, we are excited to launch the 'Child and Youth Health' Focus Area as part of the 2023-24 Solutions Program.
