Ag-West Bio presents an event designed to celebrate achievements in Canada’s life sciences sector as a wrap-up to National Biotechnology Week at the Saskatchewan Science Centre in Regina on September 28.
After a movie in the Kramer IMAX Theatre, participants have the opportunity to interact with students – tomorrow’s innovators – and make biodiesel during an interactive workshop and tour the “Flower Power” biodiesel trailer to learn more.
Later, a reception provides networking with top innovators in biotechnology, in health, agriculture, and energy, as well as presentations from some of Saskatchewan and Canada's leading research organizations:
• Dr. Andrew Potter is Director and CEO of VIDO / InterVac, the world-leading vaccine research and development organization at the University of Saskatchewan.
• Dr. Len Juras is Senior Scientist at Dow AgroSciences, a major international company with a significant research presence in our province.
• Dr. Peter Phillips is Professor in the Graduate School of Public Policy, U of S, is an expert in the field of bioeconomy policy and author of numerous books on intellectual property, regulations, and genomics.
