This workshop, held at the University of Saskatchewan, November 5-6, 2007, is part of a series of workshops, being held to plan for the future of Canadian Light Source (CLS) research and to provide feedback to the CLS on the future needs of the user community. Workshops will be held in the three “pillar areas” of the CLS; Materials and Chemistry; Environmental and Earth Science; and Life Science.
The Life Science theme workshop will be an essential step in creating the vision for synchrotron research in the life sciences, including the biomedical sciences. This workshop will bring together some of the best minds in Canada and abroad with expertise in applying synchrotron techniques to research in the life and health sciences. Together, they will help plan for the directions of synchrotron health research in the next 5 years.
