A two-day conference, held at the Saskatoon Travelodge, hosted by Continuing Nursing Education at the University of Saskatchewan. “The conference will explore the incorporation of traditional medicines and practices in today’s healthcare system, encourage caregivers to reflect on their own health in order to provide care to others, and bring attention to important and innovative initiatives related to Aboriginal health in the areas of academic research, education, and employment. CNE [Continuing Nursing Education] also hopes this conference will create a better understanding of Aboriginal culture and health issues in an effort to focus on positive solutions rather than problems”.
