Peer Review

Our selection processes are founded on peer review, where panels of active researchers assess proposals using excellence, relevance and feasibility as key deciding factors.

Applications must also exemplify the stated objectives and priorities for the particular funding program (as described in our Awards Guide). Peer review for any programs where SHRF is matching or partnering with other funding agencies may be done by the other agency, so long as SHRF requirements are met.
