This two-day conference is an opportunity for graduate, undergraduate students and post-doctoral fellows specializing in exercise and health related areas to present their research to colleagues. The event is aimed at faculty, scientists, health professionals and students at western Canadian universities.

Three keynote speakers will be part of this event. Dr. Martin Gibala from McMaster University will discuss the molecular responses from high-intensity interval exercise training in young athletes. Dr. Darren Warburton from the University of British Columbia will speak on cardiovascular and metabolic kinetics in special populations. Dr. David Collins from the University of Alberta will talk about the role of neuromuscular physiology and exercise fatigue.

This conference will also support continuing education in the area of physical activity and health to Certified Exercise Physiologists, providing them with the required 16 Professional Development Credits to remain certified.
