Alzheimer Society of Saskatchewan

Spotlight on Research is an evening event designed to bring together a broad range of stakeholders in the area of Alzheimer’s disease and related dementia. It is being held in conjunction with the Alzheimer Society of Saskatchewan’s Annual Provincial Conference.

The event features poster presentations from about 30 researchers in the field. Oral presentations from leading scientists from the University of Saskatchewan and University of Regina on the biomedical and psychosocial aspects of research will also be featured.

A highlight of the evening will be the announcement of a new partnership between the Society and SHRF to fund a $1 million Saskatchewan Research Chair in Alzheimer Disease and Related Dementia.

The event is part of the Alzheimer Society of Saskatchewan’s efforts to promote research into ADRD as a priority in the province, translate those research results to stakeholders (e.g. patients, caregivers), and increase the profile of the Society’s research program.
