Participants at this event will consider the recruitment and retention of international health care workers, and how a relevant framework for workforce migration might be developed and evaluated using the Saskatchewan-Phillipines relationship.
The overall goal of this workshop is to establish a recruitment framework that clearly sets out principles for a mutually beneficial exchange of health care workers and to develop a research strategy to measure the impact and effectiveness of the framework over time. Specific discussion will centre on developing ethical recruiting practices, leadership exchange programs, and an international workplace migration database.
