University of Saskatchewan

A better understanding of our body’s cellular functions would help us combat the onset of infectious diseases. That is why Wilson is conducting research over the next two years to find out more about how certain human cells respond to immune stimuli. Wilson’s research involves a closer examination of these cells in an attempt to improve their signaling responses, which will eventually improve our body’s response to infections. Wilson ultimately hopes to use her research findings to manipulate signaling mechanisms to promote favourable immunotherapies and stronger vaccinations.

Wilson’s research aligns well with Saskatchewan’s Health Research Strategy by focusing on public health.
