Drs. Chang and Wu’s early findings suggest that increased MG (a metabolite of sugar) may be one of the mysterious causes of hypertension. Their project will test different pharmacological mixtures to see if they can positively affect blood pressure levels. They will also look at what happens to the walls of the blood vessels under these treatments.
