This project seeks to develop a new safer approach to delivering vaccine antigens to the host by improving the construction of delivery vehicles through understanding the process of inserting the porcine adenovirus DNA into the preformed shell (capsid). Drs. Ficzycz and Tikoo are working to develop safer and more effective vehicles for delivering genes for genetic disorders and vaccine antigens in humans /animals.
