Community-Based Primary Health Care Team Grants (with CIHR)

Community-Based Primary Health Care (CBPHC) is one of CIHR’s Roadmap Signature Initiatives and Innovation Team Grants is the first funding opportunity offered in this Initiative. CIHR and its partners will provide funding for teams undertaking programmatic, cross-jurisdictional and interdisciplinary research to develop, implement, evaluate, and compare innovative models for chronic disease prevention and management in CBPHC and improving access to appropriate CBPHC for vulnerable populations.

SHRF is interested in supporting teams that meet the following eligibility criteria:

Teams eligible for SHRF funding must include a Principal Applicant and at least two additional team members, one of which must be a decision maker, which are based in Saskatchewan. SHRF funds must be administered by the Saskatchewan-based Principal Applicant's institution and used to support Team activities within the province.

Applications go directly to CIHR for review. There is no formal requirement to notify SHRF of the application; however SHRF would appreciate knowledge of the application, including information about funds requested.
