Research Connections - 4th Annual Excersise Physiologists of Western Canada (EPOWC) Scientific Conference

Dr. Martin Gibala from McMaster University, Dr. Darren Warburton and Dr. David Collins will be the three keynote speakers for this event.
They will discuss such topics as: molecular responses from high-intesity interval exercise training in young athletes, cardiovascular and metabolic kinetics in special populations, and the role of neuromuscular physiology and exercise fatigue.
The primary purpose of this event is to provide and opportunity for graduate and undergraduate students and post-doctoral fellows specializing in exercise and health related areas to present their research to colleagues and to increase collaboration between the Western Canadian Universities in the area of exercise physiology, physical activity, and health.
The second purpose of this conference is to provide continuing education in the area of physical activity and health to exercise therapists. Certified Exercise Physiologist will receive 16 PDC for attending the EPOWC conference.
