This event is aimed at highlighting and sharing research in the field of Alzheimer’s disease and related dementia being conducted in Saskatchewan.
Anyone with interest in Alzheimer’s disease and related dementia, including patients, health care professionals, researchers, family caregivers, donors, and general public are invited to this event.
From 7-8 pm guests are invited to view poster presentations and interact with Saskatchewan researchers. From 8-9pm the following speakers will take the floor:
Dr. Darrell Mousseau, Saskatchewan Research Chair in Alzheimer’s Disease and Related Dementia and Associate Professor of Psychiatry from the University of Saskatchewan will discuss his team’s research on Alzheimer’s and depression.
Dr. Thomas Hadjistavropoulos, Professor of Psychology and Director of the Centre on Aging and Health at the University of Regina will present on assessing pain in patients with dementia.
Kelly Duffin, CEO of Alzheimer Society of Canada will give an overview of the Society’s research program.
